First order was a big mistake - this product is made before Christmas but not after, and there are no preservatives. By February, the cake is at least 4 months old. Still edible if toasted, but just don't do it.This year we ordered much earlier and were pleased with the product - nice and fresh. People complain about the "burnt" bottom, but that's actually the top of the pan while it's baking and it's nearly impossible for it not to be brown. Just slice it off and get over it. People also complain that it's bland, but it's meant to be subtle. If you need more excitement, buy panettone instead. Or whip a few drops of Fiori di Sicilia into some mascarpone and add a dollop. Lastly, if you're complaining about paying appx twenty dollars for this, try to buy one in an Italian food store. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ New Christmas Tradition! *by J***S on February 14, 2024* We were lucky enough to receive one of these a few years ago and now we can't celebrate the holidays without one.
