I chose this one thinking the tripod would stabilize the shot more than a regular handle for shots where I leave the camera floating and swim away. It’s hard to know for sure, but I think it did help! The extender was also a nice feature to get deeper underwater shots!I loved that it came with a phone mount because I left my phone tripod at a previous destination, but it wasn’t a great replacement for an on land tripod because the shaft that the selfie stick retracts into makes it so the ground has to be perfectly flat or lower in the center of the tripod. If the ground was on an angle the center rod would not allow all three legs to stand on the ground.
