Well I popped the top and to my surprise it was absolutely perfect. I quickly noticed it was really thick and moderately difficult to push out of the large nozzle. I was testing my new Sequre ht 140 hot tweezers. With the assistance of this flux it worked like a dream. When heated the thick opaque cream turned sticky and runny. Spanning out away from the heat source. As I heated the pad on the board and feed the Kester to the tip the flux did it's magic and a beautiful mound of solder formed on the board pad. Not much smoke at 350C and no smell was detected. Being 5 plus years in storage it worked perfectly. I felt that satisfaction well up inside me as I moved to the next pad. The only let down was cleaning the flux off of the board. I was as sticky as a glue trap for mice. ISP had to be applied and scrubbed 4 times to remove it.
