Review: Expensive but top shelf. Didn't know anything about stainless steel boxes so I purchase what looked like the best to educate me about the design. Meduim thickness but seems to hold up. 100% silicon lid was difficult to snap on at first but got better after washing and seals very well. Works well for lunch sandwiches or salad. Easy to wash. No plastic involved. Last forever. Can not micro wave but can put directly in oven without lid.

A: Yes! Our containers and lids are freezer safe. Our silicone lids work especially well in the freezer because they stay soft and flexible. Let us know if you have any other questions and thanks for your support.

**Q: Is the stainless steel oven safe?**
A: Yes, our stainless steel containers (without the lids) are oven safe up to 300 degrees.

**Q: can it be used for hot items like soup?**
A: Yes -- the silicone lids are safe for hot foods/liquids, however, they are not leak-proof if the container is turned upside-down or on its sides. Make sure that they are sealed all the way around and they'll contain any sloshing around of the contents.

**Q: Are the lids heat resistant? for example, i want to use the lid to partially cover the bowl while steaming its contents.**

Really pleased with this container! I got the 30 oz one. The silicon lid fits very securely and is oddly satisfying to use. The stainless steel feels of good quality and has held up well for nearly daily use. It's maybe a little pricey for the size but it feels well designed and is generally a joy to handle. I like the square shape as it's very space efficient. I have a 4 cup pyrex storage that always feels trickier to place in the fridge while only holding 2 more ounces.
