## Description

The highly versatile Caldwell Matrix Shooting Rest combines great features and rock-solid stability in an affordable rest. Central to the design is the innovative, ultra-rigid U-channel frame, quickly adjusting in length for the perfect fit with any gun while remaining completely stable. The two piece sliding frame has plenty of clearance for high-capacity, detachable magazines as well as lever action guns. A convenient storage area incorporated into the front of the base has a removable lid that doubles as a rubberized rear support for firing handguns.

Has extremely durable padding and is very portable and collapsible without needing disassembly. It firmly supports handguns and rifles, and has a convenient storage box under the central padded pistol rest. It has a nicely wide stance and slip-proof pads for stability, and can serve as a stand-alone pistol rest as well. However, the manufacturer advises that no weights be added to the unit. For my purposes, it performed as described and had many features that made it stand out over similar, less-expensive products. Great for zeroing, boresighting, and steadying your shots!

**Q: Dont think i can use this for a .308 716 sig can I?**
A: I tried zeroing my ruger american in 308 and its definitely not stable enough

**Q: Is this item sufficient for use with a bolt action .243**
A: Of course, that's what is made for. 
 I use it on both of my Savage bolts, 6.5 and 243.
Holds your rifle WAAAY steadier than you can. Makes sighting in a new scope easy peasy.

**Q: Can you hold and zero an ar-15 and ak c39v2 moe, both with noncollapsible/pinned stocks?**
A: Yeah this will work great for that!

**Q: Will it work with an Ruger AR 556?**
A: It should work and the center pad removes to allow for the magazine. But to be honest I would look at the Caldwell Stinger rest.
