Had to use self-tapping screws to attach.- the unit didn't line up snugly as it should. So, whilst the car door closes and locks, my feeling is that there may be issues later on. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good enough for now *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 24 April 2019* Exact replica of the OEM version. The metal screw holes is not pre tapped and I was upset by this, however, the OEM version from BMW is not pretapped either. In fact, while the older version I had removed seemed to be better quality, it has a long throw to open the door while the newer design has a short throw. This is a excellent copy of the original design. Now I don't know how well the door would stay closed in a collision. It is possible that the OEM version keeps the door closed on impact a lnd this version allows the door to swing open at which point endangering your passenger. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Holes are not threaded! But the stock bmw screws are self tapping. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 24 November 2019* The holes are not threaded and it drove me crazy, common sense doesn’t tell you to try and still put screws in it but.. after a lot of research none of the others are threaded because the screws on the car are self tapping. They don’t look like it but if you look closely at your bmw screws they have a triangle shaped tip. I screwed them in before installing in the door and guess what it threaded the holes perfectly. Install was a breeze..
