I had read a reviewer saying theirs arrived in just a plastic bag, but mine was shipped in a sturdy box. I had read about making sure the leads from the oven did not slip back into the insulation behind the oven, but of course, one did, and an installation that would have taken about 5 minutes took me about 15 since I had to slide out the range and take off the back in order to get to the errant lead. It still was very simple! The oven is working fine now. In fact, things cook much quicker now because our old bake element apparently went bad over a period of time and we got used to cooking things longer. It happened so slowly we didn't notice until the element went out altogether. So be careful when you put in a new element that you don't overcook, or even burn, dinner! Went to 2 appliance centers and one repair center. All said its not the standard GE element. Was $120 to order new through appliance center $80 new on amazon. I bought open box version from amazon for $30. It came with a broken off connector stuck to one of the spades so I guess the first owner had a bad time.
