I think it’s made to be “surface mounted” which is how I used it. Works great! **Q: Would it handle a max of 30 amps @ 12 volts DC?** A: Not sure on 30 amps. I have 15 amps @120v and its holding up. Thinking it would depend on how long it is holding 30 amps. There's not enough contact area to hold 30 amps constant. **Q: What is the maximum dc voltage? 13? Or 220V?** A: I'm running 120v through mine it is working just fine. **Q: How do you wire this? Wiring diagram in the pictures isn't helpful.** A: I put hot 120V into 1 along with a jumper to 3. Then jumped 3 to 5 and 5 to 7, so all of the odd numbers had a hot. Then I wired my 4 speed fan, low to 2, medium low to 4, medium high to 6 and high to 8.
