    Excellent value

*by I***9 on Reviewed in the United States on December 19, 2012*

This case has exceeded my expectations. When closed it looks like a day planner so it fits in well in business environments. The materials seem to be high quality. I assume it is fake leather but you'll never be able to tell the difference.Compatibility - It fits the N10 perfectly. The speakers are not blocked, nor are any of the ports, cameras, etc. Even the POGO plug at the bottom of the device (which no one has yet made an accessory for) can be accessed while the N10 is in the case.Usability - The Bluetooth Keyboard is very nice to work with. The attached instructions say to charge it for 3-4 hours before first use. I did that and I have not charged it since. I have had the device for over a week and used it quite a bit so I can tell you that battery life should NOT be a problem. The keys are approximately 80% the size of those on a full size keyboard. It takes a little bit to get used to the size difference, but it is much easier to type on this than on the on-screen keyboard. The keys have a nice feel when pressed. Yes, it feels like a laptop keyboard but it is not at all cheap feeling. There is also ample room to rest your wrists. All the Android function keys work. A minor gripe is that there are no instructions telling what each key does, and the small blue icon on these keys are very hard to see or figure out. It took me some experimenting but here they are from left to right: Back, Home, Search, Email, Settings, Select All, Copy, Cut, Paste, then volume and playback controls. The escape key functions as the back key in Android. What I don't understand is why an Android keyboard needs dedicated F1 - F12 keys anyways. Why not just make those keys do the Android functions, or at least default to them so I don't have to hold FN to use the Android commands. Right now to go to the home screen you have to hold FN and F1; why not just make the F1 key the home key? That's a small gripe and shouldn't dissuade you from purchasing. The keyboard does have an on/off button and once paired it links very quickly. Pairing was a piece of cake. The manufacturer claims the keyboard is spill proof. I have not tested that but if I do (by accident) I'll update this post to let you know how it went. One drawback to having a keyboard built in to the case is that you cannot adjust the sturdy built in kickstand to change the angle it sits at. I would estimate that the screen sits at about 55 degrees up from horizontal. This is usually convenient unless you're sitting at a taller desk. You can only change the angle by sitting something under the kickstand. The kickstand is about 3 inches wide, which makes it difficult to work with on your lap. You can easily overcome this by removing the keyboard (which is held in place by powerful magnets) and folding the flap back under the kickstand. The keyboard will never fall out accidentally but can be removed very easily. Because the keyboard is removable you can also just put the tablet on a table or armrest and have the keyboard sitting in your lap. At 5 feet from the tablet the keyboard works perfectly. I imagine the range is even greater but have not tested it.Protection - With my tablet in this case, I do not worry about it. The case closes securely. Not only are the corners of the tablet wrapped in the leather (or pleather), but the back of the case extends past all the sides of the tablet about 1/3 of an inch. It is a semi-hard case; I would say it is as hard as a good hard-back book. It should be able to withstand a drop from any normal height. The keyboard does not contact the tablet when the case is shut, it touches the leather that is securing the tablet in the case. The keyboard is also just slightly bigger than the tablet, maybe just a millimeter or two, so if you do drop the case the keyboard will take the punishment before the tablet. This is very good engineering. I'd much rather replace a keyboard than a tablet. For those wondering, yes the tablet turns on when you open the case and off when you close it.So to sum up:Pros -- Excellent protection- Stylish- Keyboard works well- Bluetooth works well- Very long battery life- All functions of the tablet are accessible- GREAT for SNES emulators.- Price makes it a great bargainCons-- Function key icons difficult to see and confusing- Android keyboards do not need F1-F12 keys, they should default to the Android actions instead.- Kickstand only offers 1 angleOverall - I would absolutely buy this case again. I am going to find out if they sell a similar case for my wife's Galaxy Note 10.1. Honestly I would have paid twice as much as they are charging right now for this case.

Camera didn't quite line up, and a couple of issues with the keyboard.

*by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2013*

I thought the overall quality was astonishingly high. The first issue was the camera hole. It was just not lined up properly. I could make it line up by reaching under the case at the side and pushing the tablet over inside the case until the black line of the case was cleared from the view of the lens, but I did have to do this every single time. The natural settling place for the tablet seemed to be with the case edge just slightly over the lens. Bummer. When buying this tablet, the keyboard case really appealed to me. I thought it would give me the best of all worlds. The tablet when I wanted it and an almost mini laptop when I needed that.Fact is, I tried and tried to use the keyboard and found it to be too small to really touch type successfully on. I found myself reverting to a two index finger approach to prevent myself from constantly mistyping. After a few weeks I found I was carrying around the keyboard because it simply fit in the case, but wasn't ever using it.It's possible that it's just not for me, but the integration of the keyboard to the software seemed just a little bit start/stoppy. I found myself pressing a key and tapping it just to test connectivity had happened. It isn't simply on all the time. I understand that this is why the keyboard has such a long battery life between recharges, but it also just made it suck a bit in practicality and fluidity of how you would ideally want to use it.It would often just stop typing in the bar or area I was typing in. I don't know if this was a cutting out of the signal or a software hiccup, (it tended to be at the beginning of a sentence and so I imagine a connectivity starting time mixed with software integration issue) but it's again something that was happening enough to gently distract me from wanting to use the keyboard ever, as the tablets own visual keyboard never does this. The keyboard is in the place where you would flip the whole case around on a regular folio case. This means if you want to keep the keyboard there while, say holding the case up to read a book, you're holding the tablet with the keyboard behind it. It feels awkward, and the extra width to make the keyboard fit in there, makes the whole case squish around at it's hinging point like an old wallet. It's heavy and feels mushy. Also when you stand it up in this position, again it leans slightly due to that larger than normal spine area combined with the tablets front heavy nature. That extra width required to make the keyboard fit seems to cause this smushiness that was a bit irritating.Because of the keyboards placement and easy removal, after a time it meant that the keyboard was taken off and left somewhere almost continuously, only to be returned when it was time to close the tablet. So no quick and easy swing over and lock in place like some of the folio cases. It's time to replace the keyboard (which it does well with the use of magnets to hold it in place) fold over the cover (which holds the keys against the tablet screen) fold over the flap around the exposed edge and tuck it into a leather flap that never seemed to want to work without bunching up on the loop side and requiring some jiggling to get it in there. It was just...Nyargh.Not quite the spectacle of awesome design that you see on some of the cases. This one felt more like an antique design. Pretty and undeniably well made, but with a lot of extra weight and functionality problems that for me, didn't make it worth it.The build quality really is very high though. I'm swapping over to a fintie simple stand case and abandoning the keyboard idea for now, but doing it with some regret...I just really wished it worked a little better.*edit*Oh, also I thought it might be worth pointing out that several other manufacturers seem to use the identical same case with their own logo stamped onto it for less. Something I didn't notice at the time of purchase. The 'MoKo BlueTooth Wireless Keyboard Cover Case' for example seems to be the absolute carbon copy of this product, and at 28 dollars currently.Another seems the same only with a 360 rotating feature, (KHOMO ® Black PU Leather 360 Degree Rotating Bluetooth Keyboard Case) which would actually solve one issue I had with the case, because you would no longer need to stand it up, book style. It would rotate instead, keeping the keyboard flat and likely helping to keep the tablet from toppling (a problem many of the spinny cases have) too.

pretty good, a few minor issues

*by F***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on January 14, 2014*

The keyboard is good quality for the price and case fits the tablet nicely. The keyboard is held in place by magnets which do the job very well and make it easy to move the keyboard if wanted. Bluetooth range is petty good, so if have tablet display to TV its good for that also.Quality of the keyboard is good and has a responsive feel when typing considering its size. Even has the raised elements on F and J keys, but speed typing is not completely sucessful given the smaller size of the keys. The stand good and gives a reasonable angle and feels sturdy enough when using the touchscreen on the tablet. Cameras and side ports all accessable.Minor irritations: The layout of the keys is bizzare and takes a while to get used to. This is aside from the US layout. The cursor keys intrude to where the shift key should be, the home key is next to the enter key (I'd rather have less keys and Function key access to certain elements if needed). Other minor irritation is the occasional need to press the first key twice while keyboard seems to wake up - acceptable if results in longer battery life.In summary a good product for the price and space constraints of the tablet.
