**Q: Isp used a single patch cable directly to home that goes to their router. am i able to connect fiber directly to get rid of isp router? using unifi ap**
A: No.  You need the router to connect your computer / home network to the internet.  This switch just expands the number of ethernet ports and allows you to hook up more components to your router.  EXAMPLE:  Router has 4 ports but you have 6 components (computers, NAS, game consoles, security cameras, etc).  You buy an 8-port switch.  You use 1 port on both the router and the switch to hook them together.  You now have 3 ports on the router and 7 ports on the switch available to hook up your components.  BTW, if you're not hooking up security cameras, you probably don't need a switch with POE (Power Over Ethernet), which costs more.

**Q: Will this switch work with an the omada sdn controller (oc200/oc300)?**
A: It should, but the controller will need to be upgraded to Omada 4 (latest firmware).

**Q: Does it support lag (link aggregation) on the two uplink ports?**
A: This only has one uplink port
