Cats don't get in it they just move around it in my yard and garden. They find spots not covered. So don't think it will keep stray cats out of yard they just jump over it and find another place that is scent free. I was not pleased with product outside although the yard smelled good. Lol **Q: what kind of dry blood is in cat mace ?** A: I have no idea but I’ve spread the stuff all over around my bird feeders and the cats just keep coming!! Not pleased!! **Q: Cats are always clawing at the carpet right in front of my bedroom door...will this work for my situation?** A: I have had good results using this product outdoors, but I need to keep the granules several feet away from the wall of the house because of the penetrating odor which they produce.
