The micro usb charge one is as good as their proprietary charging one and is polished. I can see it getting scratched more easily. Both are easy to turn on so when using with a pen storage strap- mileage (battery) may vary. Both are however, accurate and moleskins products are available in smart format in a good selection. I’ve loved using mine both from a novelty interest and a practical purpose. App is 4/5. Pens are 5/5. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for anyone who just likes to do basic note writing *by R***E on August 25, 2022* I was pretty surprised with all the different applications there are for the pen and paper, that there weren't any that I found to be very easy or fun to use. I still can't figure out how to use the handwriting to text feature. I mean it's not very easy to save your work once you convert it. Say you write your notes in a checklist sort of way where you have several inches in-between the words like this for exampleOrange juice from Market. $2.00Pasta sauce from Kroger $2.00It won't save it that way. It'll all be ran together when you go into the app to upload your work. Very annoying when editing because there's no way to edit and save for later either. At least I haven't figured it out. The note book is kinda cool but a tad smaller than I'dike it to be. The pen itself was very poorly designed. Or it's just not meant for females or anyone with smaller hands. It's odd shape is not very easy to hold st all. I do love the whole concept and I'm trying to adapt to it, from the pen the notebook to the app. I just want to love it so bad because I've been dreaming of the concept for years before it actually came out. I hope someone improves it the way I'd imagined it to be. My Rocketbook for now is taking center stage. Please improve the pen shape!! And the available apps! ### ⭐ Very disappointed *by A***R on March 17, 2024* I had the opportunity to see this in use at a Moleskine store and was excited to the possibilities. My handwriting is terrible do to the complications of Parkinson’s. Long story short. I ordered from Amazon or rather through Amazon sold by Moleskine. First month worked well. Product did a fairly good job translating my handwriting, well enough that I could live with it. I used this as a journal. After the first month the Bluetooth worked intermittently. Phone, App and pen are all up to date. Pen stops working. Shoot email to Moleskine and since I bought it from Amazon I had to go back to Amazon for support. Well now that time frame is up. The rep at Moleskine made mention that the pen I have was an outdated model (2018). I purchased in November. I get Amazon on a chat. I will say that Amazon tired working it out. They wanted to charge me $21 restocking fee for a non working item that needed to be complete (all parts ). I stated that the journal is private and that I would not be returning it and asked why I would pay to restock something that is not working.
