**Q: Why does it take two capsules to deliver 1 mg of plasmalogen?  Is 1mg even a clinically significant dose?**
A: In a clinical trial (EBioMedicine 17:199-205(2017)), patients (aged 60 – 85 years) with mild AD were orally administered with either 0.5mg twice a day Scallop-derived PLASMALOGEN or placebo daily for 24 weeks and their cognitive function was assessed. Daily dosage of 1mg (0.5mg twice a day) plasmalogen was proven in another study (J Alzheimers Dis Parkinsonism. 9(4):474 (2019)) to be the optimal dosage to significantly improve body’s plasmalogen level and cognitive function (as assessed by MMSE test). Researchers found that higher dosages (5mg or 10mg daily) of plasmalogen did not result in significant improvement of cognitive function. It is highly recommended to take 0.5mg twice a day to get the optimal result.

**Q: What is the different between plasmalogen oil and plasmalogen extract?**
A: Plasmalogen oil is made of plasmalogen precursor which must be converted into target plasmalogen molecules before being utilised by the body. Nonetheless, plasmalogen extract is already in the active plasmalogen form and hence, can be utilised by the body directly without further conversion. As a result, it is certainly that plasmalogen oil (plasmalogen precursor) will be required in much larger dosage than plasmalogen extract (active plasmalogen) as the conversion is required, which conversion efficiency is unknown and may vary between individuals.

**Q: Can you take DHA along with this product?**
A: Yes. DHA can be taken with NeuroREGAIN

**Q: How long does it take to see improvement after taking neuroregain?**
A: Results may vary among individuals. For early stage of memory loss cases, some experience noticeable improvement in as little as one week. For cases of mild to moderate cognitive impairment, it may take 3 to 6 months, and in some cases, up to a year. As long as symptoms are not worsening, there is always hope for an improvement.

I spent a lot of time researching Plasmalogen, the active ingredient in this supplement as I had to make sure that for its price it was going to be of some benefit. I had become increasingly concerned in my mother's declining cognition and short term memory. None of which are surprising considering her age (89) history of multiple strokes and diagnosis of 75% vascular dementia along with diabetic neuropathy. The biochemical pathways involved in the maintenance of brain health, neurons and synaptic transmissions are complex and multifaceted so its difficult to know if one ingredient on its own will have a measurable outcome. Bearing this in mind I added vegan DHA to the supplement regimen (because the brain is 60% fat) along with vitamin C for its antioxidant benefits. After the first box of capsules there was a noticeable improvement in my mum's memory (the carer's even commented on it) 3 boxes later and taking 1 capsule a day and my Mum has learned how to play the word game where you are given 1 letter and have 6 goes at trying to guess a five letter word. (She plays it on her android tablet) She also reminds me about things she's asked me to do that I've forgotten and she can recall at length something she's read in the newspaper or watched on the television. Mum herself has noticed that her memory has improved and asked for the capsules to be put on subscription as she wants to keep taking them! It's a shame that the cost of these capsules has increased by £10. My only hope is that the prices doesn't get any higher and that they will always be in stock. This supplement may not help everyone experiencing memory or cognitive issues but it has certainly helped my Mum. I hope they will continue to be of benefit as it's great that she's getting back to her old self.
