It sounds like this product might not work well for someone with a lot of grays, but it actually worked perfectly for me-- no root line whatsoever and no dryness or damage!. My natural color is light to medium brown with a few grays,and I have recently gone medium auburn. I prefer this to the permanent cover-up which actually gets a little too dark for me. This is also easier to travel with since there is no mixing and a better value because you can use one tube multiple times.
