Portability - Well keep it in a backpack and take it anywhere but just don't shake it too much. Lifespan - This is a desktop hdd, it'll last up to 10 years on moderate use. Packaging - Cardboard support was necessary to reduce the bounce while in transport if it was bubble wrap it might bounce too much and damage the hdd inside. Cardboard support on the other hand absorbs the impact and deforms without bouncing back. Still I think it could have been a bit better.

The package contained HDD and all cables and power adapters . Its compatible with MAC OS 10.13.. and silent. Body is of thin plastic and it lacks proper heavy base.
