Review: Good boot - twice - I bought these as replacements for my worn Salomon Prime Quest boots. (A shame they don't still make them.) As with the Prime boots, these only required a couple of days breaking in with some short walks. (The top of the boots required the breaking in.) The boots fit well, are comfortable and generally grip well. They work well on wet grassy slopes, and dry rocks. The Primes did not work well on wet rocks, and I have yet to try these on those. I have found no waterproofing issues with the boots. Update: Just bought my second pair of these. The first pair were worn every day on walks for the past 2 years. Unfortunately both boots split a bit at the front. Super-glue may have fixed it, but the heels were wearing too, so I bought a new pair. I think the boots did very well - as said they were worn every day. I have found no problem with these boots on wet rocks (mentioned above in the initial review). Review: Well worth the money - Waited for a summer and winter before reviewing. These are excellent boots. Really well made and actually have coped with the rugged use. My only complaint is they aren’t available in black.
