Latex Tube with 40mm extender kit

Review: Worth it - Great product. Definitely better experience and smoother ryde with this tube. Only negative side is because you should pump it before each ryde.
Review: This is not the lightest tube (confirmed 78 grams) but it rolls remarkably smoother than my 70 gram Continental Race Light butyl tube. It is such a difference compared with the butyl tube! Needless to say that all latex tubes -without exception- don't hold the air as long as butyl tubes do. That is known for decades when the light and super light road and track race tyres were tubular tyres with a cotton or silk carcass and a sewn-in inner tube from latex. These race tyres were inflated before every ride (and intentionally deflated after the ride to reduce the stress on the tyre) and they slowly lost a little bit of pressure like 1% per hour during the ride. The heavier training tyres with butyl inner tubes held the air for almost indefinite. With this Silca latex tube I can ride on two consecutive days before I need to inflate my tyres again. That is pretty good and acceptable. I bought 4 of these tubes.

**Q: Have easton ea50 aero wheels... is the red lining they have in them enough or do I need to add wheel tape? Thanks!**
A: That seems like it’s the stock rim tape. Lucky for you if the rims are tubeless. I have heard the Silcas work fine with stock tape for clincher wheels. I have posted a related question.

**Q: How can I make sure I’ll get the extender and speedshield ?**
A: I've bought quite a few & they've all come with extenders & shield thingies.

**Q: Work in Shimano duraace c50?**
A: Probably not as the C50 rim depth is 50mm and the valve stem is only 42mm.  The only way to the finish line is adding a valve extender.  Even if you used a Vittoria Latex tube, a valve extender would be necessary.

The latex tubes are breathable, extremely powerful rolling resistance, and the wheel caps are VERY useful for all the pumping up of the tires( daily) that will need to be done. I believe SILCA is the best company for the caps as well as the wonderful Latex Tubes!!!!!
