My dog is only 40 pounds so I give him one package in the morning and one package at night which is perfect for his weight but if you have a larger dog, you’re gonna need 2 to 3 packages so just keep that in mind. **Q: Does it harden if it sits out for awhile in the bowl?**
A: I think so. We buy it for our little dog and give it to her as "treats." (Our vet gave us the idea.) So we keep a pouch at a time in a little plastic storage box. However, l have found pieces under my china closet or refrigerator that she missed,  and they have hardened---but that would have been for days.
