Much easier than trying to run next to a board clamped to the piece being routed. Nice, tight fit, no slop. well designed. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well made but a bit loose in WEN guide rail *by D***K on February 5, 2025* The product I received is well made and the stop works great. The router base is solid and fits my Makita RT0701C router well. The bolts from the factory sub base can be used with the unit to attach the router. My particular use case is to use this with my WEN guide rails which are supposed to be a close replica of the Makita or Festool guide rails. To be fair, I knew that the seller did not specifically mention compatibility with the WEN guide rails. It slides well but there is some slight play in the track. I was able to fix it by using a thin shim. I used a thin strip of a direct mail postcard I received in the mail and covered it on both sides with a strip of packing tape. The base slides perfectly on the WEN guide rail now with no slop. I haven’t attached it as of yet as I will find a thin strip of plastic that is the same thickness for a more permanent fitment and epoxy it to the side adjacent to the track. I am confident that will do the trick. I don’t have a Makita guide rail, so I am assuming that the WEN guide rail may feature a slightly different t-track than the Makita. I am happy with my purchase and it will fit my use case perfectly. Good value for the price and it will make routing dados on my projects much easier by providing a solid reference using the WEN Guide rail. I am hoping my review will help others that have a WEN guide rail and benefit from my ‘fix’. I wasn’t able to find a router adapter for the WEN guide rail anywhere on the web. So I am happy I was able to make this work. I couldn’t build something cheaper than what I paid for this item between materials and time spent building it.
