As long as you have your own gloves, mixing bottle, and developer you can certainly do this. I use medium blond and it works well for what I consider as my light brown hair. Hides those gray roots for as long as it takes for me to grow more. I also use a highlighter kit I buy here on Amazon. It has the cap you pull hair through (talk about tangles!) But it does work well for me. I'm posting a picture. See the medium blond at the ends of my hair to give you an idea of color. Ignore the blond highlights. You have to do those a few days later.
