Some petroleum oils will eventual breakdown the silicone liner.** A: I have been using Resilience salve for 3 years and with 2 different type of liners with no issues of break down on the liner. I am a above knee amputee, highly active and this salve solved a blister issue on the upper inside edge where my skin is thin and issues with blisters as the fit changes through out the day. Also this salve has helped with keeping the liner gel/silicone from getting destroyed at this spot too.
