Review: So impressed with Vizio yet again - Bought the 36" 2.1 version of this to go in the basement on a $270 58" TCL TV. In other words, I just wanted something loud(ish) and decent to overcome the barely-adequate-for-a-soap-opera speakers that came with the TV. This is my 3rd (maybe 4th??) Vizio soundbar over the years. Previous purchases have always been focused on the high-end of the Visio line with 5.1 surround and much larger subwoofers. And those things have always been pretty great for what they were. The bass is outstanding on those larger subwoofers. Now I'm not an audiophile, by any means. Which means that I'm not one to add $$$$$ to a speaker/driver setup in order to further myself down the road of diminishing returns. I like something that is loud, good enough, and lets me hear dialog in movies while getting pumped when working out to music. So that's me. And I spent $110 on this unit to go in a basement setup because my son decided to abscond with the old 38" 4k monitor that I *was* using in the basement instead. I had a 2.1 speaker setup hooked up to it that; and while great for its day, it was long in the tooth at 10-15 years old and literally had just finally failed on me a couple of weeks early. So I was down to nothing and bought the TV on a whim at Costco to go down there. I then needed some speakers, didn't want to spend a lot of money, and decided on these since I have always enjoyed Vizio's stuff in the past. I'd be lying if I said I was expecting much of anything. My old speaker setup was purchased long ago at $300 - $350 refurbished. It was a NICE PC speaker setup for its day. And it wasn't even a brand anyone would recognize, I don't think. It was just one of those things where that particular unit was 'a thing' in the moment when I needed to buy it back in the day. Having pretty good 2.1 pc speakers has always made it tough for me. to buy anything else because it seems like every unit is compromised in some way. Anway, I went with this Vizio unit, thinking that it is just the basement, and I can deal with less-than-ideal sound. So I got it in, plugged in the arc cable, loaded Spotify on the google tv os and let 'er rip. And, wow! The sound isn't quite as outrageous as the old setup (that failed on me recently), but it's damn loud ... certainly loud enough to fill out the basement. The base thumps. I can hear things. It's great. Like, so great I'm thinking "what else could anyone need unless they're just trying to move up the $$$$ chain for some halo level system. Bravo Vizio. I didn't expect to be delighted, but I am. So, now I have 3 Vizio systems in my house. One in my living room TV, one on my PC (yes, I'm using a soundbar on my PC atm), and now this one in the basement. And they are all awesome.
Review: Huge upgrade over tv speakers - I've had audio receivers with full 7.1 surround sound and 10" subwoofer, but there was no good way to hide the wires in my new house. This was the next best thing. There's not a ton of thump, but I think it's because of where I had to place the subwoofer. The bar itself has crisp, clear dialogue and a much fuller sound than my Vizio M-series tv speakers. The biggest difference is the volume. Some older shows on streaming services were barely audible with the tv volume very high. They are easy to hear on the sound bar even at lower volume levels. This was definitely a great value for the sale price that I got it at.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are the satellite speakers wireless too?**
A: No, & you don't want them to be. Hard wire with included good quality speaker wire to the Sub, which should be even to behind you anyway, then neatly route the wires straight down to the lowest point you can, then route each one to the Sub. So much easier & nicer than the SS systems of yesteryear where you had to wire the rear speakers from front to back, under carpet or flooring (If either was being replaced at the same time you were so lucky), or in many cases from a great distance from head unit routed very noticeably all over the walls/mouldings/baseboards/flooring edges etc. This is the way to go.

**Q: How do you reduce the background music and enhance the dialogue for movies?**
A: Direct Mode does not allow Dialogue adjustment. The other modes do..

**Q: Can the satellite speakers be mounted via a threaded mount?**
A: They have wall mount's that come with them. The speakers are threaded for their system.

**Q: Can you control the subwoofer independently? I'm assuming it has various eq presets but I stay in apartment and can't have too much bass 😩**
A: Yes, you can control bass through the remote control. Just flip through settings on the remote you will see the level up/down on the front speaker LED lights. There is no physical buttons on the subwoofer itself.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works pretty good!

Bought from Raine products. The remote and optic cable did not work out of package. Raine products sent a replacement as soon as I informed them. As for the sound bar it sounds great. More for a small room not a large space.
