Only 60 inches, not 84 ! - This was sold as an 84 inch roll of protective film however after I had started using it and realising that it was running out very quickly I measured the full roll and it’s only 60 inches. Review: Film is much thicker and of a higher quality than I had expected. I have never applied a protective film before. It is firm but does stretch a little and has some give. Watched a few videos and gave it a shot. For the slip solution recommendations were for 2ml baby shampoo per 32 ounces of distilled water. I found it better with 2.5 ml or 1/2 teaspoon and 24 ounces of water. It allowed a little more slip and forgiveness for a beginner. For the tack solution recommendations were not to exceed 17% alcohol so I used 150 ml 91% isopropyl alcohol to 850ml of water, Or 3 ounces of alcohol for every 17 ounces of water. This ratio worked well for me to tack corners. I found the application fairly easy on flat or slightly curved areas. Once applied it is very hard to see and has similar gloss to car. Looks very good. Squeegee worked well. Just the right stiffness for me. Due to my inexperience had difficulty on sharp corners and different angles. Material was forgiving, was able to remove and reapply fairly easily. Recommendations were to wet hands thoroughly with skip solution, clean area thoroughly and wear lent free clothes. I did have some issues with small pieces of lent/dirt on white car. If I noticed in time was able to pull film away and flush out with slip solution. Would definitely buy again. I may even try to do the hood. I also applied to inside of cup holder and seems to be working very well. Metal cups were scratching the plastic. I don’t know what other films are like so nothing to compare to, but this seemed like a very good product. Just make sure the lamps are clean and oil free. Maybe hit them with alcohol beforehand. If the lamps are old, give them a polish first with toothpaste, rubbing compound or even a wet sand and polish if they are really fogged and scratched. On new lamps, just give them a gd clean and degrease. I made stencils in place.
