Our metal braid sleeving is made from tinned copper which provides great EMI, RFI and ESD protection as well as cut and abrasion resistance. Strong metal fibers made from tinned copper create our Metal Braid Sleeving that can be used in automotive applications to dress-up engines, hose support or wire protection. With a flexible weave, can easily be cut with shears, covering cables, hoses, tubes and more... it can be quickly installed for that custom professional look. Material: Tinned Copper Monofilament Thickness: 0.12mm Melt Point: 1084°C (1983°F) RoHS Compliant VW-1 Rating Working Range: -60°C to 200°C (-76°F to 392°F)

Review: We own a farm house which we renovated several years ago. We installed a very expensive shower stall with multiple showers. Then we discovered we had a rat problem. This issue was resolved. However the new shower that had tygon tubing running to the various shower jets was chewed up very badly. We wanted to prevent this from happening again. So we did our research and discovered the 1” tinned copper sleeves on desertcart. To our surprise this metallic sleeve actually fit over the 3/4” tygon tubing and provided a sturdy barrier against rat teeth. We haven’t seen or heard anymore rats however we wanted a protective measure against this happening again. Result: So far so good!
Review: Made up some Les Paul wiring looms with this and 24AWG silicone covered wire. Brilliant. Also arrived quickly and is as described.

**Q: How large does the 3/4" size expand to?**
A: I would say a safe expansion range would be about 20-25%. So the 3/4" would be able to expand to about 0.93". Just remember that the more it expands, the more the strands separate, which then you can see through to whatever you are protecting.Also, make sure to keep the ends together as they will probably fray and you will lose a few inches of sleeving, this is common with most braided sleeving.

**Q: What is the temperature range where the braiding can be used?**
A: Melt Temp (ASTM D-2117) 449°F/232°C, so i would say 100°F less than the melt point would be a maximum safe operating temp. So below 349°F temperatures.

**Q: Whats internal diamater? I need tk fit 1/2 inside it.**
A: It stretches to fit

**Q: Q:Need to shield a webcam wire that is getting electrical interference. what is the minimum diameter that will fit a 16x8mm usb plug when expanded?**
A: In order to find what min diameter needed for your rectangle usb plug, you must turn your rectangle into a circle. Based your your measurements, the min would be 0.6" diameter (15.2mm). so the nominal size option of 1" (0.62" diameter) would be the minimum recommended size... This is all based on your measurement.

I installed this on my Mega 360 and 2D transducer cabling as I was getting bad interference from my Minn Kota Ultrex trolling motor. This kit was long enough to sleeve 3 cables along trolling motor cable and large enough diameter to fit over the Mega 360 transducer connection.
