I've used it for a couple of years and it's going well and had a lot of use. Would buy again when I kill this one Review: Heavy and vicious, it's a beast! - This is a serious piece of kit. It's heavy, built like a tank and highly effective. With a diamond blade attached it sliced through a 100mm square 50 year old reinforced concrete fence post with absolute ease. The weight requires effort but adds inertia and probably helps with stability reducing the possibility of kick-back. The slow start feature is good too. Comes as a bare unit with just the box, guard and spanner. Instructions are basic but adequate. Assembly was easy enough once I'd worked out which model I have and stopped looking for a lever on the guard which apparently the other models have but mine doesn't. It certainly does the job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cracking bit of kit *by H***E on 23 November 2014* I am building a new path at the front of my house and needed something to cut the block pavers with. I could have hired a block splitter but that only cuts in one direction. My path has an S bend in the middle and I have just spent the day cutting blocks to fit the corners. I am really happy with this cutter, it is quite heavy when first picked up but I have found that this aids control when cutting. This cutter will cut a 50x160 block in about 20 seconds and I have found that I can shave as little as 2mm with ease. I have come to expect quality from Makita and this grinder is no exception.
