This is especially important as the pump is in contact with water. There are two terminals marked L1 and L2 and the positive and negative wires gets attached to these two terminals using crimpling loop sleeve clips. It doesn’t matter which wire goes on L1 or L2. The ground wire gets attached to the green screw.
