I decided to finally refinish it and picked this stuff to put on at the end. I sanded it all down and rounded the edges since I always worried about cutting myself on the edges that were square. Then I put about 2-3 coats of this stuff on each side. I spread it on with my hands and used a cloth to rub it in. The cutting board turned out great, it absorbed this stuff and I could see a big change in the color. It definitely looked more moisturized afterward. I was also happy to see that when I spilled some water on it, it immediately beaded up although the longer you use it the more that fades. I'm really happy with this product, it won't give you a super shiny finish but it does give a nice natural glow to the wood. I tried this on my wooden utensils with much less success. They are old and get thrown in the dishwasher regularly so I'm sure they are much drier. I also didn't sand them first. I didn't notice much visible difference in them after applying this mix and a few days later some of the wood fibers started to raise too. I think I'd need to sand them and then soak them in mineral oil first to really get the wood to absorb. Then using this might work.
