One tip: follow instructions and do quick-freeze on soft items such as bread, cookies BEFORE sealing the bag! I thought I'd be quick enough to stop pulling the air, but did squish a few items - much easier when you pre-freeze them. Also used the glass containers for leftovers, dried goods, etc. They are extremely high quality glass and absolutely seal out the air, though they are heavy. I hand wash the bags, sometimes soak with baking soda and water if there's any food odor on them and dry thoroughly before storing away. The glass containers, I've put in the dishwasher top rack, but carefully hand-wash the covers due to the rubber gaskets.
