If your feed water pressure is below 45 psi, the GE Merlin Pressure Booster Pump is a required part for the GE Merlin RO System to operate properly. The GE Merlin reverse osmosis system works on water pressures of 40 psi (2.8 bar) minimum to 80 psi (5.5 bar) maximum. Water pressure can be reduced by installing a pressure reducing valve in the water supply pipe to the RO system. This GE Merlin booster pump should be used for low pressure applications.Continuous cycling of the pump is normal when the pump is used with the GE Merlin system.
