Going from light to black... standard rectangle dining table...** A: I used about half of a 500 ml jar to put two coats on an Adirondack chair. Do I have to do anything other than cleaning the cabinets before painting?** A: As long as you have cleaned them so they are free from grease, dirt and debris you are good to go. They have poly coatings called tough coat. I have used their matte finish and was very satisfied. You could put the tough coat on with a brush a sponge or a cloth. I used a sponge and it turned out great. They also have a gloss finish but I have never tried that one as it wasn't the finish I was looking for on that project.
