The buttons are white plastic; I will be replacing them with mother of pearl or abalone for the costume. The color of the shirt is a soft fawn taupe, perhaps a bit darker than the online pic. It includes a simple tie back cravat (Silas would NOT approve) with a crystal cravat pin, each packaged on its own. All in all, it was a great purchase that fits extremely well and is of great quality. For reference, I am 5’3”, 125 lbs with longer arms; I bought a medium. The cuffs fall to my second knuckle and are very belled and floppy, which I think will look amazing showing under my tailcoat. Reading other reviews, I was convinced it was not going to fit but gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised. There isn't an inch to pinch, but the snug fit is flattering. I'll wear a tank underneath and pin the bust area. Will be part of a fun witch costume along with a Victorian skirt. It is versatile, can fit into a ton of different styles, and is just overall really pretty. I love the bell sleeves and the fact that the cravat is removable, as well as the pin. It's soft, it doesn't feel cheap, and the corset built into the back help with sizing. The material is a little thin, so wearing anything dark under it is noticeable.
