Unfortunately, we don’t know if that card is compatible over Thunderbolt or not. In a hardware sense the card would most-likely be detected, but the main issue is if Magewell has ungraded their drivers to be compatible over Thunderbolt. The laptop's SSD was using Windows 10, and Samsung Data Migration software, and this jig cloned it in about 10 minutes.
