How Does The Insulated Jacket Work? 1. The Insulated Jacket works great up to a 30 degree F drop below room temperature! 2. It is easy to control the desired temperature by using frozen 2-liter bottles as follows: - One frozen 1-liter bottle will result in a 2.5 degree F drop below room temperature. - One frozen 2-liter bottle will result in a 5 degree F drop below room temperature. - Two frozen 2-liter bottles will result in a 10 degree F drop below room temperature. - Three frozen 2-liter bottles will result in a 15 degree F drop below room temperature. - This method is scalable all the way up to around a 30 degree F drop below room temperature! 3. A frozen 2-liter bottle typically does not thaw completely in 24 hours so it is easy to maintain a constant temperature drop.

**Q: I have the catalyst 5 gallon. Will that fit in here? I think im might be a little too wide but im not sure**
A: I’m not sure if it will fit but it’s pretty wide. It fits over the fastferment 7.9 gallon with room both heighth and width wise. It insulates pretty well. Have you considered using the catalyst insulator?

**Q: What is it made of? What's the material?**
A: Outside is heavy ripstop nylon with velcro closures. I don't know what the insulation is.

**Q: What size is this looking for one that fits 14 gal model**
A: This listing fits the original 7.9 Gallon FastFerment.

**Q: Will this work with wall mounted fermenters?**
A: Yes, it is designed to work with velcroed slots. Needs to go on before the fermenter. You should try it out with an empty fermenter to see how it works.

I tried to wrap my FastFermenter on a stand with the blanket. It appears well made and highly detailed, HOWEVER, the inside insulation is sewn so close to the zipper that when zipping it closed it jams and the portion that was zipped becomes unzipped. At this point it's unzipped on both sides and the sole remedy is to carefully unzip the blanket until the zipper is engaged then to try to zip it again. Repeat the process, repeat etc. I never did get it totally closed.
