I was so worried that my face would look streaky but it actually looked really good after application. I exfoliated and iced my face before applying the lotion. I also used a microfiber mitt to apply. I bought the light shade and it developed into a nice light tan. The next time I use this, I will be more careful near my hairline because there was a distinct ending at my hairline. I will try going right into my hairline. It faded nicely. Also, it smells like the usual sunless tanner smell but not too overpowering.
