It says #6 but what size is #6?** A: It's really too small width wise to measure... It works great for fishing a wire through a wall. Depending on the wall you can drag it with a magnet as well. **Q: Is the chain magnetic, to be used for in wall fishing?** A: sorry no, not magnetic. I bought it for FL where all my aluminum chains corrode in no time. But even with supposedly Ni plated chain, after a year, the outdoor chainsd are starting to corrode as well. will be looking for better quality Ni plating chains. **Q: Is this actual brass or coated stainless steel?** A: The yellow brass is actual brass that is rust-resistant. Purchased some brass chain at a local hardware store to "mock up" a block and tackle style lamp switch with pullies. (1/2" diameter pullies) the brass chain from the hardware store didn't hold it's radius on the pullies throughout the stroke of the pull, which created a binding sensation. This chain holds it's radius evenly and tightly over a 1/2" bend. I understand most people will just want this to hang straight and it works well for that also.
