**Q: How do you read this thing? There is no arrow or other marking that acts as a guide.**
A: There are two disks that rotate independently. I believe one is for automatic temperature compensation & the other is the specific gravity. When you take a specific gravity measurement, it will be obvious. Suck in enough battery "water" to cover the discs. It really is a brilliantly designed hydrometer, so much better than the glass tube & float type where you have to calculate the SG based on the temperature compensation read on the thermometer.

**Q: You squeeze the electrolyte back into the cell after testing right? And do you have to rinse it out before taking the next reading?**
A: Yes, replace the electrolyte.  Once out and you move to the next cell squeeze the bulb and suck in the new electrolyte three times to mix out any remaining electrolyte.
