Compared to my last fountain pen this is a little heavier but I have gotten used to that extra wright very quickly. It is not overly heavy though. The ink flowed perfectly with no skipping; it dries very quickly, which is ideal as I've bought this pen to journal. The weight & balance are perfect for me, as I don't like to post the lid.
