When exposed and absorbing moisture, the orange beads will change into a green colour to identify that moisture is present. The Silica is reusable and can be reactivated multiple times and reversed back to the Orange coloured beads by placing the beads on a non-food use oven tray and baking them between 100 degrees C and 120 degrees C for 2 hours. alternatively Silica gel beads can also be reactivated in a microwave heating in bursts of a few minutes and stiring regularly WARNING. The humidity for the last 4 days has been around 35% with them and the AMS showing 4 out of 5 for humidity. Literally 15 mins after replacing the pads with the beads, the humidity is down to 9% and the AMS is showing 1 out of 5 for humidity! Recommended.
