It had a great amount of space inside and so many extra pockets I was easily able to pack all my gear without cramming things in. The shoulder straps were perfect for my purposes and they fully packed away which was perfect for the baggage truck but when I needed to transport, the conversion to backpack was incredibly helpful. I was worried about finding a bag large enough to hold a week's worth of gear, including hiking boots, rain gear, and extra layers, while also working as a carry-on bag. Icelandaire has stricter/smaller requirements for overhead bags on their planes, but this passed as a carry-on even when tested at the gates. I love the waterproof compartment and it's made of good quality material. I also utilized the backpack conversion several times, which is easy to stow when not in use.
