They are aesthetically pleasing to the eye; shiny but not overly polished. The knurling is excellent and covers a significant amount of surface area allowing for a generous grip on the tool. They all showed up clean with none of the smelly oils that often show up on metal objects when drop shipped to my house. There are no sharp edges on either end of each punch and the inner surface of the hollow ends is rounded smooth. Overall the hollow end punch set sold by Red Iron Tactical and made by SquirrelDaddy.com is a very well made set of compact gunsmithing tools at a great low price. Did I mention they are inexpensive? These did a good job on my upper and I used them to get the gas block pin and forward assist in. They worked for both and didn't bend, irritate me or get in the way (I'd hope not or the rating would've been a total opposite). If you need some inexpensive roll pin punches to get you by for an inexpensive build, these are great! I'd buy a brass set if I used these more or for a business but these are priced to a point and work well.
