I can’t believe it tastes so good. The nostalgia threw me right back to childhood eating a bowl of beef ramen. This has a little spice to it which I love! I did two teaspoons in the ramen I cooked it called for two and a half cups of water and it wasn’t really seasoned with one teaspoon but with two the spice and salt was great. It wasn’t overpowering! I’m very happy with my purchase! My son loved it too! Even my dad who doesn’t truly care for beef ramen enjoyed this! So thankful to have found a gluten free substitute that I don’t have to make. Not that I don’t mind making my own food but sometimes it’s nice to just have an easy comfort food every once in a while in a household of our size. I’ll be back for more!

Like nutritional yeast, torula is a deactivated yeast that can enhance any dish with its savory and umami qualities. YUM. This was not my first choice for flavor option when it was first recommended to me but it was the only one available. It’s legit so good. It’s not too salty, tastes very umami, and has a slight spice. I don’t find it spicy but some might. I’ve used it in ramen, fried noodles, in rice dishes, to dry rub meat…it’s very versatile. The bag is a little smaller than I expected, but so far, it has lasted me many bowls of ramen and other dishes.
