They are low profile, easy to use and so far keep the kiddo out of the toilet. They were fairly easy to install, but the tape provided with them never stuck even after I followed all of the prep instructions.... so, I switched it out for some 3M tape I had leftover from some cabinet locks and it stuck on the first try. It's not super obvious how to use them without instruction, so we typically have to show our guests, but after that they are easy to open and close with one finger.
