They are of various sizes, and if you need or want to make them smaller you can easily just press them and they will break up. I did this with a few of them just to vary the size of the flakes for variety to the fish. These are healthy fish food flakes. All the fish really seemed to like this new variety of fish food. It is a good quality item, an excellent value for the money, and very versatile, since it has healthy flakes in more than one color.

**Q: Do you have to soak the food before giving it to them?**
A: No! you do not have to soak the food before giving it to your fish. The food simply floats on top of the water and the fish come up to the surface to feed on the Tetra. If your Goldfish are small you might want to make the bigger chunks bite size by crushing it a little with your fingers before dropping it in your tank or pond. If your fish are large just drop without crushing the food.

**Q: Can i use it for platy fishes in my goldfish tank.?**
A: They can eat it but you should also feed a tropical community diet for the platys.

**Q: Can glo fish eat this**
A: They can eat it, but it would not meet their nutritional needs. You need a tropical fish diet or glofish specific diet.

**Q: can you feed these to venus flytraps?**
A: They are formulated for omnivorous fish, not carnivorous plants so they probably will not make an appropriate diet for a venus flytrap.
