The frame has the pivot points welded in for a vertical fit. They do make one for horizontal installation. **Q: Does the cabinet come with this or is it just the framing for the mattress?** A: The cabinet does NOT come with this. It gives you instructions for the cabinet assemble and I purchased the wood and screws and dowels for about $150 total. I had the Lumber store cut the widths for free then I cut the lengths at home. Just remember where you are going to put this. I bought the full sized kit but built the length to a Queen size as I have a full XL bed. You have to have the ability to bring it into the room you are installing it in. I built it outside and cannot get it into my sons room so will have to dissemble to bring in. Make all the cuts outside, drilling etc then bring inside to assemble, screw and glue. **Q: Does it come with directions, and dimensions for build, or installation? Specifically dept to attatch hinges.** A: Yes **Q: Pictures show two twins next to each other. Is this correct description of the item? Read the directions. And read them again. This is a big project and if you don’t read and follow directions, you’ll end up with a 1- or 2-star review. I’m not a master craftsman but I think that this kit turned out amazing. I used the folding hardware and mattress base and left some of the screws and other parts out because I was constructing an entire built in bookcase. The instructions were well done and all the parts were included. We got a mattress from Amazon and have used it regularly for guests for a couple of months now and ut works flawlessly. ### ⭐ Possible Federal Recall on This Unit - Please double check before ordering *by on Reviewed in the United States June 22, 2018* I am pretty sure this kit has been recalled as of 1/18 due to injuries and dangerous operation.
