I wear pants with a US 38 or 40-inch (~98.5 cm) waist and a 31-inch (~79 cm) inseam. I purchased size XXL, one size smaller in the waist than Amazon recommended. The pants fit perfectly over my skinny jeans. The inseam was too long for me by a couple of inches (~5 cm), but with the cinch snap and zipper, it was not a problem. I used them for a five-mile walk in wet snow and sleet with my dog Zoe. The temperature averaged about 31 F (-0.55 C). Even with wet headwinds, I remained dry and comfortable.
