I got this to keep the interior from getting nor staying damp. It uses a fair amount of juice to run, however, so depending upon a 12V battery (thru a 12V / cigarette-lighter-socket plug) will probably require that battery to have a tender running on it all the time; I do. This unit definitely pulls moisture out of the air, and once turned on, it the fan keeps running whether there is moisture to pull or not (there is not means to set a target humidity). The constant fan contributes to the current draw. Review: My second - This is the second unit that we have purchased. We have been running this unit in our motorhome 24/7 for several years. This unit keeps our motorhome to about 45-50% humidity year round. It is a small workhorse for sure. It finally quit working and we decided to purchase the same model as before. We have recommended this to other campers as well. A great unit for the price and size. Well done! ## Features - 【High Efficient Dehumidifier】COYCYQI Electric dehumidifier with 17oz capacity tank, fits for area about 215 sqft apartment, working at RH85% condition has a significant effect and energy saving with a power 36W/hour which means more efficient dehumidification - 【30dB Super Quite】Utilising thermoelectric (peltier) cooling that is whisper quiet and energy efficient with a low power consumption. Noise is below 30dB, runs quiet with no annoying sound, without disturbing your sleep, work or study, perfect for space like bedroom - 【Auto Shut Off Protection】The small dehumidifier shut-off automatically when full water. Or can you provide the part number for the cord in the video?** A: You can search for 12v car/rv cooler/refrigerator cords. Look for the square connectors with a notch on one side. For example, "SBY 2m 12V DC Replacement Car Cooler Cool Box Mini Fridge 2 Pin Lead Cable Plug Wire" **Q: I need to operate this in a 12 V camper vehicle. What does “prepare the corresponding wires” mean????** A: A cable like this, but the product only comes with an adapter **Q: can you attach a drain hose to this?** A: If you drill a hole and attach a drain hose it is possible. You can find plugs with a hole for 6 or 9 mm pipes. The plastic is quite britle so be careful when drilling. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ keeps van interior dry *by P***E on March 19, 2024* I have an old vehicle that does not see much use in the colder wetter months.
