It offers excellent coverage (32 sq ft), requires minimal prep (no primer on wood), dries fully in 3 hours, and creates a stylish distressed shabby chic look with visible brush strokes. Made in the UK with an eco-friendly formula, it’s perfect for professional and DIY interior designers seeking a trendy, vintage aesthetic. ## Description Shabby Chic Aesthetic The term “Shabby Chic” was created by interior designer Rachel Ashwell. She founded a California furniture shop in 1989, where she sold furnishings that embraced “the beauty of imperfection”, restoring pieces while retaining a distressed, imperfect finish. Shabby Chic is a luxurious paint specifically formulated to create a distressed or imperfect look, where visible brush strokes are desirable. For best results, a thinner paint is preferred over a thicker one. Bring vintage, ornate charm to your home with Shabby Chic chalk-based furniture paint. Perfect for DIY crafters, interior designers, and homeowners who already love the shabby chic style, or those looking to introduce it to their space. Whether you dream of perfectly distressed tables, antique mirror frames, ornate vanities, or vintage cribs, Shabby Chic can do it all. Easy to Use Have a new dresser that looks a little too new? An old coffee table in need of a refresh? Grab a can of Shabby Chic and get painting. Apply the second coat after 15 minutes. Touch dry after 1 hour. Safe to handle after 2 hours. Fully set and dry after 3 hours. To create a distressed look, use two contrasting colours and lightly scuff with moistened sandpaper or a stainless steel scouring pad. Multiple Surfaces Enjoy beautiful results on wooden furniture, and create stunning renovations on metal, plastic, stone, brick, or plaster. Use the paint to upcycle metal window frames, revive worn brick and stone, or decorate a hutch or writing desk. For best results: Make sure the surface is clean and free of oil or wax. Bare wooden surfaces should be sanded before painting. Advanced Formula Our chalk-based paint is entirely non-toxic and water-based, making it safe for use in enclosed spaces and around children. Refurbish any piece of furniture and renovate any room with ease. ## Features - INTERIOR DESIGN: The term ‘shabby chic’ boasts ‘the beauty of imperfection’, that’s what shabby chic is all about – restoring furniture while still giving it a distressed, ‘imperfect’ finish. - A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY: Great coverage saving you time and money. Long-lasting durability, little-to-no prep work required for wood (just clean first). Suitable for interior and exterior painting projects. - CHALK BASED (Not Chalk Paint): Shabby Chic is a chalk based paint. To achieve this look a thinner paint with superior pigments is preferred over a thicker paint. - MULTIPLE SURFACES: Ideal for wooden furniture, metal, plastic, brick, stone, and plaster. Refurbish a wood dresser, vanity, picture frame, or crib without a primer (wood only, on other surfaces a primer is recommended) - ADVANCED FORMULA: Non-toxic, Water-Based, Low Odor, ultra low VOC.
