Regular application prevents splitting, cracking, and fraying for long lasting beauty of boards, spoons and butcher block surfaces. Just apply a thin layer of butter wax, let sit to absorb (overnight when possible) and remove with a clean dry paper towel or cotton rag. Its just that simple.

Not only does it bring long overdue wood back to life, it creates a layer of protection that withstands multiple uses, multiple varieties of food items, multiple variations of knives and multiple cleanings. I use a mild dish soap, a wash rag and warm to hot water when cleaning. I found that aggressive soaps/cleaners, stiff bristle brushes and very hot water diminish the life span of the product. Sometimes to the point of stripping it down to bare wood. Bonus: It conditions my hands too. No need for expensive lotions.

**Q: Is this more of a paste or a liquid? I’m looking for a paste that I can apply and leave to soak and not run all over the place like oils.**
A: Yes, this is a paste designed specifically for easy application without run off. It works best when applied to absorb overnight. I hope this helps.

**Q: can i use for table?**
A: This stuff is great and is a food grade so that you can use it on chopping blocks, wooden utensils, etc.  I am not sure that I would "waste" it on a table that doesn't require food grade.  It also leaves a little bit of a film, so there is that to consider.  Although maybe the residual is the same as using a wood paste wax; I'm not sure.

**Q: Does this work on all forms of wooden tools?**
A: Yes, this will work to condition any type of wood. Bamboo, maple, cherry, etc.

**Q: Is it approved by FDA?**

This is good stuff. It applies quite thickly, is easy to rub in. I usually apply the wax on a warm sunny day then leave it out in the garden for a few hours to absorb in the cutting board. It lasts for ages before requiring a reapply.
