**Q: Which type of steel is it, 18/8?**
A: I do not know what kind of steel it is but it is attracted by a magnet more strongly than other stainless steel spoons I have.

**Q: Are the edges and corners not supposed to be chamfered at all?  The corner tips are so pointy, they catch the textile of washcloths and drying towels!**
A: Soup spoons not chamfered at all.

Very nice spoons for the price. Light but solid,with a long handle and generous scoop. These stack up to the Korean spoons I grew up with. Dishwasher safe, but the skinny handle will slip through the utensil basket. I have a separate utensil drawer so it's not an issue.
