The engine will love it. I have used it on cars with well over 300,000 miles on them. What killed the cars was body rust!!! **Q: How long can I store a partially used 5Q bottle? It will be stored in a dry basement** A: I see no reason you can't store oil in a closed container forever (well, you know, at least your lifetime!) If it is open (not capped) and in a wet environment, then you could get some water condensation in it. Water is heavier than oil, so would sink to the bottom. Even if you introduce a small amount of moisture along with oil into your engine, the first time you drive it for 15-20 miles, the water should boil off. The possibility of water condensation (in engine) is one of the reasons that manufacturers recommend more frequent oil changes for vehicles that are rarely driven more than 5/10 miles...
